Husqvarna was founded in 1689 to provide muskets to the King of Sweden’s army. After war’s end, the company shifted production to sewing machines, soon thereafter followed by bicycles. In 1903, Husqvarna’s first motorized bike allowed an unheard of two to three miles per hour, and by 1932, the Husqvarna 500cc motorcycle reached almost 90 mph, earning international renown both on and off the race tracks. Harnessing its expertise in engines, Husqvarna introduced its first chain saw in 1959. Our innovative air injection system was developed in 1990 and remains an unparalleled engineering advantage for our chain saws.

In 1978, Husqvarna joined Electrolux AB, the world’s largest producer of home appliances and outdoor power equipment.
